How People-Move Moving Keeps Customers and Movers Safe from COVID-19 During a Move

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, People-Move Moving has continued to provide local and long-distance moving services throughout Kentucky and Indiana. All the moves we’ve made during the pandemic were done with our customers’ and movers’ safety in mind while keeping every move fast and efficient. Here’s what our professional movers at People-Move Moving are doing to make every move safe, smooth, and efficient.

Strictly following Covid-19 Health Protocols

Nothing is more important than our customer’s and movers’ safety. To keep everyone safe, we are closely following the health protocols from the federal government, local governments, and the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Sanitizing our trucks

Before and after every move, our movers sanitize our trucks with commercial-grade disinfectants to make sure that all items in our trucks are free from coronavirus. We have sanitizers always ready for disinfecting our trucks and all the necessary moving and cleaning supplies.

Social distancing

Whether in the office or during a move, our movers at People-Move Moving practice social distancing at all times. We limit food sharing and gatherings and remind our movers to maintain at least a 1-meter distance between themselves and others.

Wearing masks and using hand sanitizers

Since moving requires packing and lifting items, touching surfaces is unavoidable. But with masks and sanitizers, we can keep both our movers and clients safe. Our trucks and offices always have masks and sanitizers that our movers can use anytime.

Disinfecting items and surfaces

Our movers sanitize items and surfaces during each move. We use commercial-grade disinfectant products recommended by the CDC and wipes to disinfect items and surfaces movers touch during a move.

Disinfecting our facilities regularly

People-Move Moving has a dedicated cleaning staff who regularly disinfect our facilities. Our cleaning staff sanitizes high-touch surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, stair rails, toilets, faucets, and sinks on a daily basis.

Monitoring movers daily for COVID-19 symptoms

We closely monitor our movers for covid-19 symptoms. If they have been exposed to someone suspected of covid-19 or showing symptoms of the virus, our movers are asked to stay home and encouraged to get tested for covid-19.

Encouraging our movers and staff to get vaccinated

To keep our movers safe from the virus and give our customers peace of mind, we are encouraging our movers and staff to get vaccinated.

Contactless Move

PMM is now accepting contactless moves. If you are unavailable for a visit with our expert or are concerned with your health and safety, we can make virtual surveys and estimates. Just send us photos, floor plans, specific instructions, or simply a video of your home for us to get an estimate of how much your move will cost.

With our no-contact packing and unpacking, you can have some peace of mind knowing that you’re not exposed to anyone who might have the symptoms.

Briefing before the move

Before the move, our team will brief you on the things you need to do to keep everybody safe. Successful moving requires cooperation between the movers and owners. The more we know about your place, the better we can execute your move. You are also advised to check the move-in/move-out procedures in your building for access or restrictions.

Free reschedule

If you have been quarantined or showing symptoms of COVID-19, we ask you to choose another date for your move. Rescheduling your move is free. All you have to do is call us in advance.
